Last night, in a street scene that could’ve been lifted directly from Saturday Night Fever, these two disco dudes were walking to the beat of their own soundtrack on Ludlow. Quite literally. The volume on the old-school boombox was cranked to 11, and the music echoed for blocks.

While we may live in the iPod era, the shoulder-hoisted boombox is still alive in some respects. Hang around the neighborhood long enough and you’ll spot the occasional pimped-out bicycle or shirtless toter. But nothing can top this pair of music-bearing scooters driving down East Houston the other night.
