At roughly 8:45 pm tonight, a fire erupted on the fifth floor of the building shaft between 210 and 212 Lafayette Street. Rub one out for Happy Ending. The swanky nightclub at 302 Broome Street reached climax long ago, but eventually faded.

We’ve known for quite some time now that Happy Ending was on the way out. Twice in three years, commercial real estate listings advertised the ground and basement level of 302 Broome for rent.
