Area teenagers, as well as the odd twenty-something, congregated beneath the Manhattan Bridge Saturday afternoon for the sixth annual Harold Hunter Day.

Established in 2006 after his untimely death at 31, Harold Hunter Day has been an annual occurrence down under the Manhattan Bridge.

Shortly before the Fourth, a self-sustaining spaceship landed in the southwest corner of Coleman Playground, behind the baseball field.

Another skate shop to fuel the downtown resurgence. With the newly-opened Coleman Oval Skatepark attracting a much larger horde of youngsters to the Lower East Side, there is seemingly more demand for those symbiotic businesses.
