The remnant plywood shed was removed from 177 Ludlow Street earlier this week to unveil the second Manhattan location of 100 Montaditos. 100 Montaditos already has the distinction of replacing one downtown institution, that being the fabled Pizza Box on Bleecker Street.

EarthMatters, the eleven-year-old health shop at 177 Ludlow, will close its doors for the last time on Friday.

You’ll recall that local favorite EarthMatters is exiting the neighborhood after more than a decade in business on the ground level. The Ludlow real estate is now available for the taking.
