Saturday afternoon, the hungry hordes descended upon the Hester Street Fair for the Grub Street Food Festival. And judging by the crowds, the event was a success. The whole neighborhood, and then some, turned out for the event, which made sampling the food a task-and-a-half.

A friendly reminder that the Hester Street Fair is pulling out all the stops today by hosting the Grub Street Food Festival. The day’s culinary activities are located at Hester and Essex Streets, between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm.

10-10-10 was a day full of events and activities at the Hester Street Fair. Way down at the terminus of Eldridge Street, where old-world Judaism meets modern-day Chinatown, hordes gathered yesterday afternoon to celebrate the 10th annual Egg Rolls & Egg Creams Festival. Amidst the balmy weather, it was a celebration of two delicious traditional treats.

This afternoon is the 10th annual Egg Rolls & Egg Creams Festival on Eldridge Street, between Canal and Division. The event begins at noon and runs until 4 pm.
