Last night, Katra was holding a red-carpet fundraiser.  This being the new upscale Bowery, all the stops were pulled – bouncers, ear pieces, guest lists, short skirts, etc.  Even a rotating mobile spotlight was employed for dramatic effect.

Benefit for Tuli Kupferberg at Bowery Poetry Club Tomorrow

Tomorrow night, the Bowery Poetry Club is hosting a benefit for Tuli Kupferberg, famous poet, author, and co-founder of rock group The Fugs.  Kupferberg recently suffered two strokes and is now blind.  Funds raised during this event will help pay for his medical costs.
