Despite alleged setbacks from a busted water pipe back in January, luxury living at 108 Ludlow (aka 100 Delancey) is inching ever closer to a reality. Since that time, the “lobby” discarded its well-worn pajamas, as it were, and is almost completely dressed.

Misfortune strikes again at the junction of Ludlow and Delancey. This time it’s on the northeast corner and involves a busted water pipe. Right now, all of 100 Delancey is dark. Lights off. Last week, obstructive scaffolding was finally removed from the building housing both Duane Reade and Ludlow Fitness. Now, after two years behind bars, sweaty treadmillers are in plain view to all on Delancey. Nevertheless, its removal is still an aesthetic victory for the neighborhood.
