It’s a sad day for the Lower East Side. This brutal heat and humidity is even too much for the mysterious Man in White, a/k/a Jimmy Blanco. We spotted him walking along Delancey the other night, sporting a new summer getup.

The curious mystery of the man in white is nearing resolution, thanks to all the reader input. Using the commentary as basis for research, we stopped into Rosario’s for a couple slices and to see if we could elicit more information. One of the workers there was able to fill in some of the blanks.

A number of readers have recently emailed us regarding the mysterious white-robed man who walks the streets of the Lower East Side. His entire outfit – shoes, pants, shirt, hat – is all white. And there’s usually a plastic bag containing white matter dangling from his waist. He is everywhere!
