What, pray tell, is the statute of limitations on a “grand opening” type promotion? While $3 for two slices is a pretty good deal in itself, Mario’s Pizza at 147 East Houston has been open for almost a full year. Perhaps it’s time to ditch the theatrics.

Well, the wait is over. No more dilly-dallying. Nearly a month after first revealing its trademark-infringing signage, (super) Mario’s Pizza is now serving slices, burgers, and wings at 147 East Houston. Although not yet serving the neighborhood, Mario’s Pizza at 147 East Houston (formerly Chickpea) just gained some flashy, trademark-infringing signage. The folks at Nintendo probably wouldn’t be too happy if they saw this – clearly a Super Mario Steal. A new all-purpose, all-American grub joint is poised to open at 147 East Houston, just over a month after Chickpea vacated the premises.
