Sunshine Cinema just joined forces with New York Cares to help those still affected by Hurricane Sandy.

“Get outta bed, there’ll be no more nappin.” Seriously, though. Head over to the Sunshine Cinema at midnight this weekend to watch Pee Wee search for his coveted bicycle in Pee Wee’s Big Adventure (there’s no basement in the Alamo). Then bask in the news of his illustrious return.

In just a few hours, the leather-clad Governator is coming to Sunshine Cinema, guns blazing. Sort of. Terminator 2, the classic 1991 film and best in the doomsday series, is the midnight feature this weekend. Time to start practicing your Schwaz-speak!

One of our favorite movies here at Boogie HQ is Stand by Me, and we are stoked to see it again on the big screen. The eighties classic – starring River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Wil Wheaton, Jerry O’Connell, and Kiefer Sutherland – will be the midnight feature at the Sunshine Cinema this weekend.

Get lost all over again with Labyrinth, the midnight feature this holiday weekend at the Sunshine Cinema on East Houston. The Jim Henson classic, starring a young Jennifer Connelly and a bulging-crotched David Bowie, has a special three-night stint. Avoid the bog of eternal stench, and make your way to the theater.

If you’re in town this holiday weekend, why not share in the festive spirit with the Dude, Walter Sobchak, and Donny. The Big Lebowski has been playing the midnight slot at the Sunshine Cinema the past couple nights and will run through Saturday.
