Walking along East Houston Friday afternoon, we noticed that many of the light poles and other street furniture were littered with cleverly-written “Wanted” posters for the Governator himself.

Saturday afternoon, the hungry hordes descended upon the Hester Street Fair for the Grub Street Food Festival. And judging by the crowds, the event was a success. The whole neighborhood, and then some, turned out for the event, which made sampling the food a task-and-a-half.

10-10-10 was a day full of events and activities at the Hester Street Fair. Grub Street is reporting that a new Hester Street Fair is coming to the empty dead-end park space at Essex Street. It will be a seasonal flea market of sorts, running between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
