Call roadside assistance. Looks like the Souvlaki GR truck is nearing the end of the road. Apparently the kitchen-on-wheels, its permit, and route are altogether for sale. Here’s a photo of Souvlaki GR roasting a lamb on a spit yesterday afternoon outside 116 Stanton Street. The outdoor picnic, complete with lights, tables, and two dozen bags of charcoal, was apparently a celebration of the Greek Orthodox Easter.

Team Sierros-Himebauch, forged from the fumes of the Souvlaki GR truck last year, has taken the formerly antiseptic space of Project 8b and created an uber-casual restaurant atmosphere.

Truck-to-store Greece spot Souvlaki GR sustained a proverbial flat tire last month with the departure of founding husband-wife partnership Pavlos and Abby Sierros.
