Yesterday afternoon, 92.3 NOW held an event at The Box on Chrystie Street featuring Selena Gomez. The pop starlet and Bieber ex performed a handful of songs for lucky fans as part of the radio station’s “Money Can’t Buy Experience” series. If only the K-Rock of yore knew about NOW…

The Lower East Side receives an anthem of sorts in “Downtown King,” courtesy of Jelly Jells and Fab 5 Freddy. Neighborhood landmarks and luminaries including Billy Leroy, the busted Shepard Fairey mural, and Sara D. Roosevelt Park amongst others, are all featured prominently in the music video.
