The Georgia Vintage fashion boutique at 27 Orchard Street shuttered earlier this month. Goods are gone and red pineapple pried from the marquee, replaced instead with token tombstone leasing signage. It was a two-and-a-half-year retail tenancy that concluded with a purported lost lease. Their departure also forced Pintail Coffee, the surf-style successor to Lost Weekend, to relocate. […]

It took almost three years, but the commercial condo that Fat Radish calls home finally changed hands. The ground floor of 17 Orchard Street just traded for $2.5 million, a few hundred-thousand higher than the initial asking price. Just as the Leadbelly oyster house is getting started down on Orchard Street (it opened yesterday), team Fat Radish is already looking to develop its next Lower East Side project.
