On March 30, a full vacate order was issued to 137 Ludlow Street, home of velvet-ropers Libation. The letter itself was slapped on the side door of the club. The FDNY reported at the time that the “third floor ceiling is structurally defective and in danger of collapse.”

Almost three months ago, 99 Below, the cellar bar at 99 MacDougal Street, was slapped with a vacate order due to conditions “imminently perilous to life.” It was an event from which the relatively new establishment would not recover.
